Last Weekend, In Pictures
Lest anyone think The Princess and I don't do anything on the weekends, let me reassure you that we have pretty much all of our weekends booked up until the end of April. As for evidence of our busy-ness, please allow me to point out the following photos.
This past weekend, another of our friends turned the big four-oh [we believe she is very close to the last one of us to reach this pinnacle of crone-life]. We of course, had to do another "show". Luckily, I did not have to wear a dress, high heels, a bra filled with bird seed and a wig. I did however, have to wear a red ice cream bowl on my head and hoist an obnoxiously heavy accordion, while lip-syncing to Devo's "Whip It".

Whip It Good!
Yenta & Duncan hammed it up for the camera and The Princess...

Ham, ham
...while I spent almost two hours putting a rather large gas grill together.

CLD grills mushrooms and other healthy fare, as large, ugly and painful bruises begin to form on her forearms and biceps. [She also tries not to catch her head on fire as The Princess keeps telling her to bring her face down lower so it will fit in the picture]
Yes, I still have my eyebrows.
The garden now has pole beans, yellow squash, two types of tomatoes, thyme, rosemary, oregano, sage, anaheim peppers, cayenne peppers, baby carrots, bok choy and snap peas going on. It's funny how I can sit for close to an hour and just look at the plants. I can't wait for the veggies and fruit to start maturing. We also have a patio blueberry bush and several strawberries growing in a cedar barrel type of planter. I'm trying to grow some grapes [one vine], but we'll have to see how that goes with Central Florida's hot, muggy summers [it's supposed to be OK for our planting zone -- 9].
Of course, I don't have a picture of the dang garden or the other containers. I'll take some this weekend.
[Update: Picture of one of the above mentioned bruises after the flip]

If you think it looks painful now, you should have felt it on Monday.
Have you ever tried, as a right-handed person, to take a photo of your right arm with your left hand? Not for the feint of heart [or the klutzy of person].

 It looks like you guys had a great weekend! And that bruise looks mighty painful... I have a similar one after a run-in with a very naughty dog but I can't manage a left handed photo. :)
